Ready? Set? Mark your calendars, because Academy Chicago Publishers is hosting two readings this month that are sure to blow you out of the water!

On Friday, January 18th Terri Paul will read from her debut novel, Glass Hearts. Glass Hearts tells about the struggles of a Jewish family during World War II in the charming voice of Serene, a five-year-old girl whose boundless imagination helps her to transform the grim reality of the family’s harsh situation into a magical search for her father.  Meet us Friday, January 18th, 7 pm at The Book Cellar, 4736-38 North Lincoln Ave.

If you can’t make it to Terri Paul’s reading on the 18th, have no fear! She’ll be reading from Glass Hearts again on Sunday, January 20th at Black Rock Pub. Joining her will be Cory Franklin and Daniel Greenstone. Cory Franklin, author of  Chicago Flashbulbs: A Quarter Century of News, Politics, Sports, and Show Business will entertain us with tales of the Windy City. Daniel Greenstone will give us a bit of comic relief with A Theory of Great Men. Join us Sunday, January 20th, 7 pm at Black Rock Pub & Kitchen, 3614 N. Damen Ave.

Bring your friends, and we can’t wait to see you there!
